Latitude E6400 wireless 5620 evdo-hspa mobile not working.
This laptop was reimaged with the original software - Win 7 32bit. Upon re-imaging it will no longer recognize the "gobi" .
I have installed and uninstalled many drivers - firmware, chipset, application etc, and when I call or chat with Dell they just keep giving me the same useless links to the same drivers. Two of the drivers I installed both said no device detected. I know it's there, it worked fine before it had to be re-imaged.
Anyone with this problem? The only dings in device manager now are under other devices and are Broadcom USH and COM4.

bbukovsky,
Is this a new system or did you install Windows 7 Pro 32-bit on 12/19/2012? If you just installed, did you install the Dell System Software first, then the chipset drivers? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order
Places to look to see if your Connection is enabled
Start, control panel, device manager, network adapters, Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card, advanced. Look mfor antenna diversity. Change it from Auto to Aux
This says it's for printers, but will get you to the firewall settings in Norton. Make sure you're allowed a connection. Allow a printer past Norton

Unfortunately I am not aware of how the re-imaging was done. The user said he had gotten a virus, re-installed the Win 7 32 which is what it came with (from the disc that came with the laptop,) and then he re-installed all of his other software, then realized that the gobi wasn't working so then he brought it to me to be fixed.

I have installed the firmware for it - then installed a Dell branded Verizon driver, then the application - and when I run the application it says no device detected.

bbukovsky,
The noramal procedure is Restoring Your Computer´s Software to the Factory Settings
If the person used a different method, using a third party software, the drivers may not have installed properly. To correct this, you will install the Dell System Software and the chipset drivers. This know what is attached to your system. If these are not installed first, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. Start with installing the drivers in the correct order. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order
