Latitude E6530 CMOS Battery

Hi all

The internal CMOS battery in my laptop (Latitude E6530) seems to be dead. Sometimes the BIOS forgets all of its settings.

This laptop is still under warranty. Is it worth contacting Dell to change this battery or can I easily change it myself? If so, is it the CR-2032 button cell?

It is a button cell battery with a wire connector on it.  However, unless the main battery is dead or removed from the system, the CMOS battery isn't even needed to retain the CMOS settings. If you're losing the settings even with a charged main battery installed, there's more wrong than just the CMOS battery and you should contact Dell for warranty repair.
