Hello, I received a brand new laptop at work and tried using it on the "E-port Plus II" dock, that we have. My colleagues have no troubles using the dock with other Dell models but for some reason my laptop outright refuses to cooperate with it.
I have tried closing the lid and booting up on the dock to no avail. The laptop does not charge in the dock and won't connect to any USB devices or monitors attached to the dock. Weirdly the power button on the dock does wake and put the computer to sleep but that's about it.
I also tried updating the BIOS to the latest version and that didn't help.
I would greatly appreciate any other suggestions and solutions.
I used the dell driver detect utility now to update everything on the computer, however connecting to the dock still does nothing. I also tried on another dock of the same kind and it won't work on my laptop. Any other suggestions or things, I could check to figure out, what's going on?
