M1530 Ram and Hard Disk

Im not sure abt ur first question,in therory yes it should.I havent seen alot of topics on here abt that.IMO you wouldnt gain that much if any performance.And on the 2nd question yes you can that i know for a fact.Thats where id put my money,maybe a processor too, depending on what you already have tho.

Hope i could help alittle, maybe someone else who has done this will chime in.

where is the hard disk located at, i still dun know where is that hard disk.....

Would this ram / hd change, void the warranty ???

Both changes are what i want to do , especcialy the 5400@7200rpm

Yeah, its kinda expensive keeping a 250gb hd but well... i still prefer keeping the warranty so its ok, tyvm.

Anyways... if you buy yourself a 7200rpm drive, you can stick the 250GB 5400rpm drive in an external enclosure, format it (once you've backed up anything important on it, obviously!), and use it for backups/downloads etc?

Yes, my bad, my english isn't good at all , my point was, would be easier and cheaper, selling the 250gb to buy the 7200rpm, anyway... it's still cheaper keeping it, using it as external hd, and saving warranty.

dell does not warranty the upgrades you put in.  you keep the oem stuff and reinstall if warranty work is needed.  I have replaced hd, cpu, ram. and keep for install just in case.  I replaced hard drive and did clean install with x64 ultimate and still have oem x32 ultimate on oem hard drive. All replaced very easily with the help of the online service manual.
