M6400 slowdown

Ok guys had the M6400 covet for apporx 6 months, and although not a gaming machine i do play warcraft on it now and again.

problem i have is Framerate is disgustingly low, imunsure if its new drivers from dell, but ive tried the following

Flattened it and reinstalled Vista 64 and latest dell fx3700 drivers. still bad

Flattened it put on windows 7 installed drivers etc still poor.

Now does anybody know if this laptop reduces speed of VGA etc if it gets too hot ?

Overall the laptop is great but i find my dual core with 8800GTX runs faster in games, yes i know the quadro is a 2d card really but surely it should run faster than a dual core 32bit laptop.

8 gig ram

1 gig quadro 3700
