My Dell Inspiron 15z Won't start up when i press the power button and beeps
Hello, My son has a Dell Inspiron 15z and it fails to start up, The screen will not light up and we can't tell what is going on, It continues to beep 4 times with a small interval then starts again. I read this post http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19498486.aspx and i've read that it says 4 beeps means memory read/ write failure. What i am trying figure out is how I fix this problem.
Thank you

Hi,
You have correctly identified the failure as “Memory read / write failure”. This failure is related to “Memory Modules” (RAM Chip). You can try to re-seat (remove and then re-connect) the Memory Modules and check if this fixes the problem. You can find steps on how to re-seat the Memory Modules on page number 13 of the “Service Manual”. You can download the “Service Manual” from the below mentioned link:
http://dell.to/10H9see
Before re-seating the “Memory Modules”, please go through “Before You Begin” section of the “Service Manual” on page number 7 for “Safety Instructions”.
Do reply with results.
