Hi Santosh,

I would suppose, based on your description, the issue is said to be caused by a probably failed windows update. It is not ideal to turn off the system during windows updates as it would cause the system to be unstable.

Try restarting the system and press f8 during startup. If it gets to the advanced boot options, then try repair my computer and from there on - select system restore and restore the system to a previous point when it was working fine.

You could try booting into safe mode as well from advanced boot options, if it does boot into safe mode, then open control panel and windows updates and uninstall the recent updates which might have caused the issue.

Try booting into command prompt from advanced boot options - then try the DISM commands to fix the OS image - check this link - http://bit.ly/1HHatUm

If nothing works, then you could choose to reinstall the OS.

Keep us updated.

Hi Rishi,

Thanks for the Reply, but i am unable to go Safe Mode point, when i restart the compute i keep on pressing the F8 but screen is not moving to Safemode screen and System is restarting within 6seconds after,

i have inserted the Windows7 pendrive and took a restore point of earlier date, and let you what is the status of it once that is done.

Thanks

Santosh

Hi Santosh,

We have not heard from you yet. Could you update the status of the system restore? Were you able to resolve the issue on the system?

Hi Santosh,

Apologies for delay in response.

Could you kindly run the diags by pressing f12 key on startup?

If the diags are fine, then I would suggest you to repair the existing OS using the Win7 OS media.

Boot off the OS media and perform the DISM repair commands - http://bit.ly/23cHvvp

If you can boot to windows, then please update the BIOS - http://dell.to/1PUJYOa

If you are still unable to boot to windows, then update the BIOS through a bootable USB - http://bit.ly/1mmhOE1

You could also read more info about bootable USB for BIOS update on one of my previous threads - http://dell.to/208FBGQ

Keep us updated.
