My dell inspiron studio 1537 wont turn on

The keyboard doesent light up and the screen is totaly blank it looks as if it shut off or is in "hiberbation" mode and i dont know what to do . It was almost out of battery when i last closed it and i didnt connect it until the next day. Usually when that happens i just connect it to the charger and it starts up all normal and perfect but it didn't this time. When i tried to open it  was unresponsive even when i pressed the power button,the wireless conection button on the other side lights up for a bit then turns off again. I let it charge for a day and its still not working,i even took out the battery a few times.  Im worried that maybe it could be that the battery got wet or something ( i live in a tropic climate and its very humid) so maybe the humidity got to it. should i get a new battery? is the power button jammed? or is this a tech problem i should just send to dell?
