My laptop starts beeping when turning it on, but never properly starts
When i press the start button, it turns on for a moment, then shuts down and starts beeping. I have counted 8 continuous beeps, then a pause, then another 8 beeps, and so on. What is happening?
Also, my model is a Dell inspiron 15 5000 series.

The system isn't detecting the display panel.
If the system is under warranty, call Dell. If not,
Check the connection between the display cable and mainboard. If it's loose, reconnect it.
If there's evident damage to the cable, and it's a non-touch model, replace the display harness.
If it's a touch or tablet screen, the cable isn't separately replaceable. In that case, the screen assembly needs to be replaced.
If that doesn't solve the problem, the mainboard is the faulty part and will need to be replaced.
If you need a reference to the service manual, please post the full model number (i.e., Inspiron 5521, etc.).
