N5110 i7 model dvd sata port speed?
Does anyone konw the sata speed of dvd port? I know hdd port is sata-3 but is it the same for dvd?

The hard drive is on a SATA 6G port. The DVD is on SATA 3G.

So this means that if I want to get full SSD speed, I need to connect it on HDD port, right? I was planning to buy a DVD caddy :/

That means I will need to learn how to disaasmble the case then :/ I'll use the caddy for the regular hdd in that case. Thanks again..

With a hard drive, no. With a solid state drive, absolutely.

Yes, that is correct - the SSD needs to replace the hard drive.

I've followed the instructions Step by step carefully, and installed the ssd on hdd port. it took 7-8 mins to install windows 7 64 bit :)) thanks again..
