NVIDIA quadro FX 2800m CONTINUES TO STOP WORKING PROPERLY

My graphics driver stops working and my computer screen goes black and I have to physically push the power button to shut down my computer. My driver is up to date. Problem reports and solutions says an update might fix the problem but this is not the case. What could be causing this and what can I do do fix it.
