Need help for UEFI boot problems!!
One month ago, my inspiron 15r SE just got stuck and cant start up again, so i switch to legacy mode, boot and install a fresh copy of windows 8. Now, When i switch to UEFI on BIOS, Under UEFI suppose to be
Windows Boot Manager
UEFI IPv6
UEFI IPv4
but i only have ipv6 and ipv4. Where is my windows boot manager gone to? I can only start up my computer by UEFI secure mode disabled. Any Solutions for my situation?

Once you install in Legacy mode you cannot change to UEFI mode. The OS must be installed in UEFI mode to run that way. You will need to redo the drive structure to GPT to enable UEFI and secure boot.

erm, may i ask how to install a fresh OS in UEFI mode and how to restructure drive to GPT like u said?

Do you have the restore DVDs or flash drive you made from the Dell Backup and Restore program?

Nope.. I did not have a chance to boot up my laptop to even backup my image file. But can i use a software to change my disc to GPT and boot a fresh copy of windows 8 in UEFI mode?
