New Dell Inspiron 3521 takes 3-4 hurs to charge 100%

I bought a new Dell 3521 and i am very happy with it except that it takes 3-4 hours to charge fully whether OFF or ON. Once charged it gives a good time, almost 4 hours.

My Bios version is A10 so here's no use updating it.

What should I do?

I have tried running Dell diagnostics online but it fails to download and install dell system client every time so I couldn't do it.

If you have a 65W or 90W adapter you can get a 130W or 150W adapter to charge faster.

HOWEVER doing so will drastically reduce the life of the battery. Fast charging is not associated with Longevity of batteries of any kind because the faster you charge the hotter they get and heat destroys batteries.  They are like hard drives its not a matter of IF they die its a matter of when.

Hi,

We're having the same issue with our Dell. We have other laptops that almost fully charge in an hour and lasts for the same amount of time when Dell is at 100% charge.

Is there anyway we can speed up the charging for Dell without the need to get a new adapter? Is there a fast charging option somewhere that we can enable?
