New inspiron 14 touchscreen not working

Yesterday i received my new ordered Dell Inspiron 14 and from the start on the touchscreen is not working. As my order confirmed the pc contains a touchscreen. I ran the Dell pc diagnotics and didn't find anything unusual, furthermore i couldn't find anything special in the settings or the drivers. Anyone has an idea how i might be able to solve this?

What was the operating system on the computer when you bought it?

You may try to calibrate the screen. Here are the steps:

-Select the Settings menu from the charms.
-Select Control Panel from the Settings menu.
-Click Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input.
-On the following screen tap the cross hair each time it appears on screen and save the calibration settings.

In case the above step do not work, then you may provide the service tag of the computer and the first and last name as it appears on the account via private message (click my username and then click Send a Private Message) so that I can check the system specifications.
