No Password Reset Disk

Hello,

I am working on an associates Laptop it is an Alienware M11x R2.

I was backing up their data on it and before I was finished they removed it from the domain and made it a workgroup system.

Now the password will not work, and of course they did not create a password reset disk.  I need to acces the laptop without wiping it out until I can finish backing it up.

I need something that will allow me to reset the password, then when I am done they can give it to their grandkids.

does anyone have any ideas????
