No drives were found.

Hello,

I'm trying to install Windows 7 Professional on my computer, and also Mandriva Linux 2009.

In both installations, when I'm supossed to select the hard drive in which I want to install them, it says that "No drives were found". Neither the Windows Vista Business installation detects them.

I tried to load the drivers from a USB but never detects them (System32 drivers and Dell Support Center drivers unzipped)

I readed some similar posts but I haven't finded a solution.

Also, with the Windows 7 repairing tool for the startup, when I pass it says "A hard disk could not be found", but cant find a solution, just report.

My computer is a laptop Inspiron 1721, with 2x120GB SATA hard disks and Windows Vista Business.

I uploaded the BIOS to the latest version and also restored to the defaults, in some forums i readed that this can be fixed just changing SATA options in BIOS to IDE, but my only option for SATA in BIOS is for the RAID.

The diagnostics utility from the F12 Booting menu, in extended mode, says that everything is ok.

I hope someone can help me, thanxs in advance.
