Precision M4600 on board microphone
How do I configure the built in microphone so I can use it with applications? When I try to run the configuration tests in control panel > sounds > recording, I can't get the microphone to hear my speech. I'd like to use it withouot a headset or other external device. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

I have loaded drivers for the IDT Audio devices. (IDT High Definiton Audio Codec, v 6.10.0.65320, 1/6/11). Device manager shows no devices with issues. Thanks again!

Hello. I don't have an exact answer for you, but in general the internal mic is integrated with the webcam. Here is a document about troubleshooting the webcam mic
If you have to re-install the Webcam Central, there are some additional instructions in this wiki article..
There is also the possibility that the mic is faulty.

i have the same issue and the microphone or the input jack both dont work on the m4600.
