Precision m4800 DisplayPort

I'm trying to use an LG Ultrawide monitor with my Dell Precision M4800 laptop.  In order to use the full 21:9 aspect ratio of the monitor it is required that I use the DisplayPort output of the monitor.  However, the laptop doesn't appear to recognize either the DisplayPort or the HDMI outputs.  I have managed to get the DVI to work but this don't have a DVI-D so it will also not support the full screen output.  

I have tried this with and without the VGA monitor plugged in, with and without the laptop screen open, and with and without the docking station. I have updated every driver I can find but still nothing.  It does have the AMD FirePro M5100 FireGL V video card with Intel HD Graphics 4600 which from what I've read might be part of the problem.
