Problem installing windows 7 Pro 64bit on Dell inspiron 15r (5521)

Please help, i have a problem  installing windows 7 pro 64bit, though it boots from the DVD & shows the first part which says Windows loading files; the installation freezes at the second screen that says 'Starting Windows' then restarts again back to dell logo/splash screen.

My Dell comes with a pre installed UBUNTU OS which is also not working.

Specs:

CPU: Intel i7

Ram: 2GB

Fix HDD: 750GB

Procedures i have done so far is:

1. I disable the secure boot

2. I change the boot mode to legacy to boot from CD/DVD

but it didn't work. Is there any thing that i should disable?

Please help me with the procedure to do a clean installation of Windows 7 Professional 64bit on this laptop.

Thanks,

Hi Jhaypee,

I would suggest you to run the diagnostics by tapping F12 when turning on the system as soon as you see the flashing dell logo. Also please let me know if the windows 7 disk was sent by DELL?

Hi DELL-SHRIKANTH G,

I run the diagnostics then in memory test it stops then restart, thanks for the suggestion, it solves my problem, i removed the extra memory (we purchased for upgrade), run the installation again then it worked like nothing happen.

P.S. haven't notice the diagnostic tool there, hahaha! Anyways Thanks for the rapid response!

Really appreciate it!

Thanks,
