RE: Dell Inspiron 13 7347 Wi-fi Card Replacement

My wifi kept dropping with the WIndows 10 upgrade on the Inspiron 7347 so I swapped out the adapter with an Intel 7265 and it worked perfectly for the last 3 weeks until suddenly this morning, the computer stopped detected the adapter.  I checked to make sure no wires had come loose.  I even swapped in the old one.  It seems like the computer is simply not detecting any wifi cards any longer.  Any idea of what my have gone wrong?  (I used the CTRL+PRT SCRN to ensure the computer wasn't in airplane mode, too).

Hi DLOVE1976 ,

Was the system working fine when on Win 8.1?

Does the wireless card show up under network adapters in device manager?

Update the BIOS - http://dell.to/1RKcasz - Restart and check if it works.

If the issue is seen intermittently, then download and reinstall the drivers from Intel site - http://intel.ly/1Bqqeer - for your OS.

If the issue is not resolved, then restart the system and press f12 key on startup - choose diagnostics. Let it run the diags and if you encounter any errors - make a note of the complete error and report the same to us.

Also, restart the system and press f2 key to enter BIOS and press f9 to reset defaults and f10 to save and exit - restart the system and check again if the wireless card is seen.

If the issue is not resolved, then there are 3 suspects - wireless card, antenna or the motherboard.

If the system is under warranty, then contact us via Twitter - @dellcares for faster communication. If there is no warranty, then we can help with a paid service call if required.

Keep us updated.

P.S. I have moved your post to a new thread as it was posted on a very old thread that was locked for editing.
