Reinstalled Windows 7 Professional on Latitude E6510 and 3 drivers are missing
I Reinstalled Windows 7 Professional on Latitude E6510 and 3 drivers are missing. In the Device Manager they are located under:
"Other Devices"
- Broadcom USH - missing driver
- Unknown Device - missing driver
- Unknown Device - missing driver
Also there is no Sub Heading in Device Manager for CD/DVD Drives.
Is this an issue with Microsoft Windows 7 Professional? Can anyone help me to resolve?
Thank you in advance!

For the Broadcom USH it should be taken care of in Dell ControlPoint Security Device Driver Pack:
64 bit: http://downloads-us.dell.com/FOLDER91162M/1/Dell_ControlPoint-Security-D_A18_R269916.exe
32 Bit: http://downloads-us.dell.com/FOLDER91085M/2/Dell_ControlPoint-Security-D_A18_R269802.exe
The other one should be taken care with the FreeFall sensor:

Thank you for the reply. The instructions have a NOTE that says this is process and order is not for the Latitude E series and I have a Latitude E6510. The NOTE reads: "Dell Latitude E-Series and Precision laptop models have a different install order. For more information, see the Latitude E-Family and Mobile Precision reimage guide." I tried the link but it doesn’t work. Any other suggestions that could help?

Hi natakuc4:
Thanks for the reply and support!
My OS is Windows 7 Professional, 64 Bit. I'm going to download from the 64 bit link you provided and will let you know if it resolves the Broadcom issue.
Here is the information I have From the Device Manager on the other 2 missing drivers:
#1
Unknown Device
Device Type: Other Device
Manufacturer: Unknown
Location: on PCI Bus
#2
Unknown Device
Device Type: Other Devices
Manufacturer: Unknown
Location: Port_#0004.Hub_#0005
Thanks for your support natakuc4. From your friend in cyberspace!

Sorry I should have left some better instructions on providing hardware IDs:
Press the [Windows] and [Pause|Break] or [Windows] and [ e ] (to open computer) and then select properties.
On this screen next select Device manager.
Hopefully it should look something like mine.
If you have an error, yellow ? or ! as in my base system device then Windows 8 hasn't found a system driver correctly. Quickly check to see if you have missed installation of a driver. If you still can't find out what it is. Right click the device with the error and select properties:
Go to details and select Hardware ids.

Thanks for the reply natakuc4:
I've been traveling for work and unfortunately had to stop troubleshooting this. As I am now back stateside, I am trying to resolve the two Driver issues.
I followed your instructions and I have the IDs now. They are:
The Broadcom USH Device IDs are as follows:
USB\VID_0A5C&PID_5800&REV_0101&MI_00
USB\VID_0A5C&PID_5800&MI_00
The Unknown Device is as follows:
ACPI\SMO8800
*SMO8800
How do I get these to work? Or what are the next steps I take? Thank you in advance for your support!!!:emotion-2:

Hi Philip Yip,
I wanted to THANK YOU very much for the help. It worked. I followed both links, downloads and steps and your direction helped resolved the 2 unknown device drivers in Device Manager!
The last remaining issue I have is that the CD/DVD Optical Drive is not recognized in "My Computer" or "Device Manager". DO you know how I can go about getting the CD/DVD to be recognized by my computer?
Thank you again!

Hello again Philip:
I wanted to let you know I resolved the missing CD/DVD Drive after the Windows Reinstall.
From MS Website I went through steps 1-4 without any success, but when I performed step 5 was what worked successfully for me. So now my CD/DVD is reading and writing. THese are the steps I used from this url:

Thanks for all your help!!! :emotion-2:
