Reseat Power Adapter
My Vostro 3500 which is 14 month old, suddently began giving me the error that is not charging the battery. It keeps telling me "reseat power adapter". I don't even know what that means. I have already re-booted with battery power only. Didn't help. I have taken batter out a couple time, didn't help. I have unpluged and repluged the power cord, didn't help.
It only runs on adapter power. My batter is down to 12% and doesn't charge. What can I do? What is the solution?

Unplug the adapter and plug it back in again (to the system). Then go into the BIOS setup - is the AC adapter listed as "unknown"? If it is, try a new adapter - if that doesn't solve the problem, the system needs an internal repair to the power jack or mainboard.
