Resolution Reverts back to old setting! D400

If i set the resolution to 640x480 (old resolution 1024x768) and logoff and logon again the resolution is reverted back to 1024x768.

I've investigated and found that as soon as the HKCMD.EXE program is executed in the RUN key the resolution is switched back to 1024x768.

If i remove the hkcmd.exe from the run key the resolution stays at 1024x768. Is this a bug or a feature?
