SD Card Reader E6400 E6500 series

I work with multple types of Dell lattitude series laptops, with the E6400, E6410, E6500, E6520 and they all have SD card readers built in. The problem I have with them is that they dont recognize any of our SD cards, that being said I am looking for the drivers or updates. The problem is, I cant find which ones to get, it doesnt seem to be listed, I have searched up and down the drivers for the E6400 but none of them seem to fit the description for the sd reader.

Does anyone know where I can find the drivers?

Did the readers ever work? What size SD cards are you trying? Older readers cannot read the newer high capacity cards and drivers won't help. If you have any 2GB or less cards, try those.

Dear Mary.

I had a similar problem but in my case, my SD card reader suddenly stopped recognizing the SD card. The device manager in XP is telling that all drivers are OK and working well.

Do you have any suggestion what to do to reactivate the SD card (I am still assuming it is not a hardware failure).

I, too, would like to know what's going on.  My Win-7 e6520 laptop, brand new since Feb 2012, does not recognize SD cards.  I tried reinstalling the O2 drivers, but no love.
