Several Inspiron 1100 keyboard keys not working

After reading this thread last night, I went through the steps on removing the keyboard to clean it. I did so with compressed air and a little rubbing alcohol and cloth.

 

For some odd reason, on the QWERTY row, only keys t,y,[,],and \ work. I am using an external USB keyboard to type this on the inspiron. Could this be some kind of system problem? I checked to make sure the keyboard connection was not creased or seated improperly. All other keys appear to work, and Number Lock is OFF. No sticky keys or weird feeling ones. Can you please offer a suggestion before I decide to order a new keyboard??
