Sound card on Inspiron 1501 not working
I have a Inspiron 1501 laptop and it has a SigmaTel soundcard. The sound does not work. The sound icon is in the tray, but it says it is not installed. When i go to control panel it says it is installed and is running the best updated software. I haven't had it long enough for the sound card to go bad, but long enough for the warrenty to be gone. I have tried everything i know, can anyone please help me. :emotion-42:

Even though Control Panel (/Device Manager?) suggests it's working, I recommend downloading/reinstalling the audio drivers from the 'Drivers & Downloads' section for the Inspiron 1501 on the Dell website :emotion-55:
