Studio 17 - No Sound From Audio Jacks in Ubuntu/Linux

Hi,

I have tried lots of Ubuntu installations with my Studio 1749 laptop and the audio jack does not work, however the JBL laptop speakers work well. 

This is a Dual Boot Win 7 and Ubuntu Machine. Everything works when I boot into my Windows 7 but unfortunately not in Ubuntu.

Please Help, it is annoying!
