Studio 1747 and customer service cancelled order

I have a long story but to keep it short, I ordered a 1747 I7 720 cpu on 28/12/09. My account manager and her supervisor then went a holiday and I found the reported problems on the 1747 concerning the power supply/7 beeps/bios problem.

I tried several times to speak to anyone with any knoledge but it was no good.

I emailed my account manger on her return basically to enquire if Dell was confident with solving the 1747's problems prior to my delivery date of 2/2/10.

Without contacting me, they simply cancelled my order.

Does this mean that at this moment in time they are not confident of fixing the problems?

To compound this further, all Dell keep saying is do I want to reorder a machine at todays prices not the discounted ones of dec last year.

It looks as if I want to buy a Dell laptop (9 previous ones) I should accept paying more for an inferior product

Well in short i think you're right not to confident about anything at this time .  you would think a 25 billion a year company could get it right the first time
