Studio XPS 1645 + Stylus?

I have searched high and low and can not find an answer to this question:

What type of touch pad does the Studio XPS 1645 have? And are you able to use a stylus - similar to the iPad styli

I saw that the pogo sketch http://tenonedesign.com/sketch.php lists that the XPS will not work, is this touchpad heat sensitive?

Any help would be appreciated,
