Studio XPS 1645

I am trying to find out what the audio system consist of in the Studio XPS 1645. When i try to look up the manual in the support section, it gives me a page cannot be found error. It lists the manuals for the 1340, 1640. Is the manual basically the same as the 1640.

Go to the Hardware Device Manager to see what sound card or integrated sound you have. The 1640 manual should be the same, but it will not tell you what you actually have in your computer. Device manager will.

Both the 1640 and the 16450 have  IDT 92HD73C audio chips, and use the same driver version: 6.10.0.6217, A15

From that I would conclude they are both the same audio. Some additional information about the 1645 is that the audio system is "7 Watt Integrated Stereo Speakers with Subwoofer". That sounds the same as the 1640 which the Setup Guide describes as "2 watt per channel with 3 watt subwoofer", so I think you can go with the audio specifications as listed in the 1640 guide.

Thank you for your reply, i don't have the XPS 1645. I was interested in purchasing one, and was curious about the sound system.

Thanks, i did see the 1640 had a "7 Watt Integrated Stereo with the Subwoofer. I was just hoping the 1645 came with the same.
