System restore error: 0x4001001300001002
Hi, I was trying to restore my laptop to factory default but it gave me an error code: 0x4001001300001002.
I then ran the diagnostics and I got an error message with error code: 2000-0142, validation: 72679, Hard Drive 0 - S/N xxxxxxxxx.
Does that mean the hard drive has failed?
The service tag is and the Bios is A01.
Please help me out!

Hi gnaijiz,
Remove the service tag from public viewing. This error indicates it is a HDD failure. Send me a private message with your address, phone #, best time to call. Also confirm the name the system is registered in.
