Temporarily disabled my laptop battery inspiron 15 i3 3521 40W & 14.8v

My laptop battery is new one.....it works well when disconnected the ac adaptor and when the adptor is connected the battery isn't charging. The red light is blinking....specially I put my battery in same model my friend's laptop so the battery charges well in that computer.....please tell me a solution.....
