Touch Pad not scrolling

I have a Studio 1735 Laptop which I've recently upgraded to Windows 7 ultimate. Following the upgrade the touchpad won't scroll. When I view it in System properties it's not there, all I see is the following:

HID-compliant mouse

Microsoft USB Wheel mouse optical
