Touch screen problem in Chrome

Hello, I got my DELL Inspiron 13 7000 a couple of months ago, and it has been working perfectly until yesterday when the touch screen stopped working just in Google Chrome.

The problem doesn't apply to other apps, and I really don't want to change to another browser. I did a checkout with Dell Support app but everything seems to be fine.

Is there any solution to this?

Hi,

Thank you for reaching us.

If you haven't made any changes to the software, Then you may try uninstall and reinstall Chrome browser .

Also in some touch screen issues, Rebooting the laptop fixes the issue.

Running diagnostics and coming back to windows might also resolves the issue.

To enter diagnostics, Keep tapping F12 on the startup Dell logo that comes as soon you press the power button.

Select "Diagnostics" from the list, Run it completely and exit from the screen.

Let us know if that helps.

Thank you

Chrome has a solution that I tried and worked for few hours. Any ideas?

this is there solution:

chrome://flags

Press Ctrl+F and search for 'touch'. This will list down all the experimental features that has the keyword touch in it.

Look for below flags,

Enable touch events

Touch Optimized UI

Enable touch initiated drag and drop

These flags are set to Automatic by default. You have to change them to 'Enabled' to make touch working properly

No Events found!
