Touchpad/Keyboard Inspiron 15R 5537
I have this thing running on Windows 8.1. My problem is, if I hit a key, there's a delay before the touchpad and buttons become functional again. My brother suggested not making the mouse disappear when typing, but that didn't work. Is it possible to change this or is it just how it is?

Go to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Mouse -> Dell Touchpad. Once there disable palm rejection. The delay is a feature used to prevent accidental clicking while typing on the laptop.
