Hello Pramod13

Thanks for writing to us.

When did the issue start? Was there any hardware or software changes done lately ?

Keeping in mind the adapter is not showing in device manager, suspecting LAN port to be faulty.

Are there any bent pins in the port?

You can try a system restore (may or may not work).

Please PM us the system tag#.

Hi Parmod13

You N5010 is a great little machine. Without more details about the problem as requested by the Dell Support Specialist, it is hard to tell precisely what is happening. What I can offer in the way of advice is that, if you have installed the latest driver for the ethernet adapter and the installation was successful then you have a hardware problem. Unfortunately it appears that you had an UN-successful installation based in the lack of an LAN in your device manager.

Have you updated to Windows 10 and is that when the Realtek ethernet adapter disappeared from Device Manager?

The N5010 is not supported by Dell for Windows 10 and so the driver for Window 7 from Dell will likely not function...though it may if installed in compatibility mode. Have you tried that? It may be necessary to find an updated driver for the Adapter...I can help you with that if you provide more details. You might also check to ensure that you have downloaded the appropriate 32 or 64 bit driver.
