Unreliable touchpad

My company recently bought 3 new Dell XPS 13's for Exec's who travel extensively. All three have complained that the touch-pads perform so badly that they are almost unusable. The main three complaints from all the users are:

-Cursor jumps around while typing, even after adjusting the palm guard sensitivity.

-After using touch-pad for a extended period, it becomes less sensitive to finger pressure. Not sure if due to static build up or heating but they have to really press hard to get cursor to move. One even said she has to lick her finger tip to get it to work.

-Cursor stops moving when dragging items around screen. This we have narrowed down to seeing that the pad thinks a second finger is touching the pad, usually a thumb near the button area. However this happens to all the users and we can't seem to find a sensitivity setting that stops this from happening.

If we had just one user complaining then we would just try to help retrain them on usage or move them to another model. However since all three that we have bought are having the same user issues, we have to assume it is the laptop. Our company uses laptops exclusively since most of our 300 staff members travel and we have not had any similar issues with Lenovo or other Dell models.

All three laptops have the most updated drivers and bios and are running Win8 Pro. We have sat down with the users and watched them use the pad and seen these issues ourselves. Any assistance or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

We had the touch pad replaced on one of the laptops and after a few days use, the user has reported no improvement in performance. The cursor continues to be over sensitive and jumps around and drag and drop does not work properly. We feel this is a design issue are are dissatisfied with the performance as well as with the lack of any real support/solutions here in this forum or via a tech ticket. We are currently seeking a return authorization through our sales rep for this model laptop.
