I returned my dock because of many of the issues described here including display drops and wireless USB devices dropping. I received an updated dock a week ago and while it still runs hot, it resolved all the display issues.
The manufacturing date of the first dock was March 1st 2016. The new dock was April 26th. To confirm the date, check the fourth term in the PPID. First digit is year, 2nd is month, 3rd is date (1-9, A-V); for example April 26th is "64Q".
Dell support rep confirmed that this was "a new version" and likely the USB issues would be resolved by driver updates to come...

Good information.
Does it work with usb, monitor, gigabit ethernet and audio without problems for you? I'm about to buy TB15 but when I read what people say I still wait.

Yep - everything else is working fine. Just those pesky wireless USB adapters for mouse and keyboard so I stick them in the laptop itself.
