Upgrading

How would i go about upgrading to 8GB? I have ordered a disk from dell so that i can change my XPS M1330 from Vista 32-Bit to 64-Bit. I have looked and searched for 4GB RAM on the site but cannot seem to find it anywhere.

As you can see, 4GB sticks of SODIMM aren't cheap, so unless you have a specific NEED for 8GB RAM... or you have money to burn... I'd advise you to stick with 4GB :emotion-55:

For what it's worth; going to 64 bit will use the existing 4GB memory more effectively.  unless you are running some apps that are being ram limited, you really will not see a great "bump" by going to 8GB.  There will be some improvement but at the price of 4GB modules, IMO, you will be disappointed in the cost versus real performance value.  Of course if cost is not important .... otherwise 4Gb modules will come down in price most likely in the next year or so.

I currently have a total of 2GB right now. I was just curious because i coud not find it on the dell website. I do not plan on buying it at the moment because i have no need for it but it may come up again in the future. but by then i am sure there may be something higher up, maybe.
