Using the battery from Inspiron 3521 to the Inspiron 3500 Model

Hello,

Due to my own carelessness, I dropped my Inspiron 3521 model, resulting in the laptop hinges coming off and the screen smashing. It served me well as I had owned it for 3 years but because of my laziness, it is now contributing to the UK's e-waste reserves.

Anyway, I kept the battery and have purchased Dell's Inspiron 3000 model. WIll I be able to use the battery from the previous model on the new laptop ?

thanks,

Habib.

It may or may not depending upon the exact model you buy -- there is more than one model in the 3000 series.  At 3 years old, though - the battery is likely at or near the end of its lifespan anyway.  300-500 cycles or 3 years is generally about the life of a lithium ion battery.

If it fits the system, no - if it doesn't, it's a moot point since you won't be able to install it.
