Vostro 1520 Overheating?

Hi, I've just bought a new Vostro 1520 (Intel P8600, nVIDIA 9300M GS, hd 7200rpm).

Apart from appreciable vibrations due to the hard disk (which I find pretty annoying, indeed), I noticed that the region

immediately to the left of the touchpad is very hot.

Someone of you has the same problem? Is it something new or it is fairly widespread among this kind

of dell laptops (it is my firs dell, so i do  not know).

With my Vostro 1510 it is the same ...

This part is getting hot because of  the  hard disk which is located at that place. Assuming this didn't change in the 1520 layout, it should be also true for yours. Have a look on the backside, whether there is the hdd logo an the cover of that area.

If so, try to boot up your system and leave it for several minutes without doing anything. This should result in cooling down as the hdd isn't used.

If it still heats up, you could check your hdd.
