Vostro 5470 cant detect SSD

Hi, i just bought dell vostro 5470 and a new SSD crucial m500 120gb to replace the 500gb hdd inside the laptop.

the problem is, my laptop cant detect the SSD and bios will hang everytime i plug in the ssd in the primary drive. 

any help?

I called dell tech, and they give me excuses such as : 

1. "SSD and sata3 uses different slot".

2. "only vostro with ultrabook recognition can use SSD" 

Are they even serious?
