Hi CKB89,

The specified mouse is compatible to work with your system model. See this link - http://dell.to/1NwGzKf - However, this mouse is not a wireless mouse. It is a bluetooth mouse.

Update the BIOS from support.dell.com - http://dell.to/1kGWIcI - enter the service tag and select drivers and downloads and run the BIOS update.

Then try pairing any other BT devices - an android phone or BT speakers, if any (iPhone and BlackBerry have known BT issues to work with Win OS). If they work fine, then try the following:

Go to control panel -> devices and printers -> remove the existing mouse - then click on add a BT device - and pair the mouse and check if it works fine.

In notification area, right click on the BT icon and choose open settings -> enable discovery, then go to COM ports tab and select Add -> select incoming ports and the BT mouse should appear there.

If other BT devices work fine and this mouse still does not work properly, then please send me the service tag of the system and your contact details through a private conversation. Or you could use Twitter - @dellcarespro - for faster communication. We shall organize an exchange of the mouse.

Keep us updated.
