Why is my battery going already? Laptop Inspiron 3737

I have only had this laptop about 14 months and the battery is going. How can it be bad already?

I have a Dell Inspiron 17 3737.

The lifetime of the battery depends on how it's used, between 1 and 3 or more years. The battery should not be discharged to below 30-40 percent charge before recharging. Each deep discharge lowers the battery capacity and lifetime. You should use it plugged in when possible, and DO NOT unplug the charger when the battery is fully charged; you will not damage it leaving it plugged in, contrary to what lots of "experts" say.

You need to buy a new one from Dell or a third party supplier. Those from a third party are NOT genuine Dell, but cost a lot less. I have purchased third party batteries from Amazon and eBay for $20-25 that worked fine, still running after 4-5 years.
