Why no 16:9 notebook screens?
Why is Gateway and Apple that only companies (as far as I know of) that produce 16:9 screens for their notebooks? Dell makes/sells 16:9 desktop monitors why notebooks? You are just lagging behind the times now...

Im pretty sure it is because the 15" widescreen form makes that ratio impossible, the best you will get is 16:10. In order to make a 16:9 widescreen notebook it would have to have a 16" screen. The reason we dont see any of those is because screen manufacturers don't like making custom screens, so unless many companies would be interested in making large orders of 16" notebook screens, they wont bother making them.
