Wide Screen LCD

Someone on another forum suggested that I post here.  I have a Inspiron 6000 with an ATI Mobility Radeon X300 discrete video card with 128MB of Video RAM onboard.  I am looking into getting a Widescreen LCD for it.  I am having a difficult time getting the information I need from the online manuals for this laptop and the video card that is in it.  Does anyone have an idea what are the compatible monitor sizes and resolutions that this laptop can drive?
