Windows Boot Manager doesn't appear on the UEFI Boot options
Good evening, sorry about the poor knowledge of english.
I have a Inspiron 15R 5537 with windows 7 ultimate, and i've installed windows 8.1 pro over it.
After that, i trying to change the boot mode, choosing UEFI instead Legacy, but when i change the boot option to UEFI, the system does not starts, and shows the message "Checking media... fail", two times, and shows the message: "No media detected. Restart the computer and selects another boot option".
When i get on the setup menu, and i see the UEFI boot options, the option "Windows Boot Manager" does not appears, only shows Lan IPv4 and Lan IPv6.
I hope someone helps me, or i'll have to erase the computer and install everything again, from the begining.
Thanks for the support.

In order to use UEFI boot, you must have a GPT-partitioned disc -- which you do not, if you upgraded from Windows 7.
You must install Windows 8 clean and in GPT mode in order to make this work - meaning, backup your data and start over.

The only way to change from MBR to GPT is indeed to start over.
