Windows Server 2008 R2 and Bluetooth Dell 365 Support

I recently purchased a Precision M6500 to use as a mobile HyperV Demo, lab and Development computer. Its running Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, and all the Precision 6500 applications and drivers for Windows 7 64 bit work except the Dell 365 Bluetooth card which I can't get any of the Win7 or Vista drivers to work. In fact, when I run the 64 bit MSI manually (Setup.exe stops because it detects unsupported OS), it prevents Login after a reboot leaving a blank screen/cursor w/ no obvious way to correct other than restore image from backup. BE CAREFUL as I've found no way yet to recover (i.e. in SAFE mode), other than a image restore.

I had gotten the Dell 355 BT adapter to work on my old Inspiron 1720 running Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, by manually installing the Vista64 MSI but that same procedure as noted doesn't work.

Has anyone tried to get the Dell 365 to work in Windows Server 2008 R2 yet? There is a way to get Microsoft Windows 7 BT sotware to work, but ultimately you end up w/ unsigned driver issue and is a more convoluted procedure, described here. Its a classic Windows Server 2008 BT probelm that after three years, still appears to be thorny.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks,

64Dude

Same question, but for the M6600 and getting a driver for the Dell Bluetooth 375 for Windows Server 2008 R2?

Thanks,
