Windows Vista SP2
I inherited a Dell Inspiron 1501 with Vista already installed. I managed to successfully install Service Package 1 but after a month of following every suggestion in a plethora of forums I still can't install SP2. Is this problem unique to Dell laptops? Anybody else had this problem and managed to solve it?

This may not help you but FYI - Vista SP2 installed without issue in my Gateway. This is interesting. I've never heard of SP2 install issue. All the best to resolution.

I don't think it is a dell problem my friend installed it on a dell laptop without incident
