Windows XP won't load. PLEASE HELP!!!
Last week, I received a Refubished DELL Inspiron 600M and it worked very well for a while. I downloaded some stuff on it last week and recently. Now it makes a horrible noise that sounds like the hard drive is working too hard and it won't load Windows XP only once in a blue moon. Please give me advice. All advice is welcome (except for people being extremely rude). Thanks.

Contact Support. Even refurbished computers have a warranty. It sounds like it might a bad hard drive.

This is a computer somewhere between five and six years old - it won't have a warranty, and a hard drive failure on a system this old isn't uncommon.

It could also be whatever that was downloaded as in rougue software that is just churning away.
